Textile manufacturing often requires high humidity to maintain the flexibility and quality of the threads and improve process efficiency.
How Our Product Helps
Our humidification and evaporative cooling solutions offer the following benefits:
- Improve quality & uniformity
- Increased production
- Reduces employee related injuries due to airborne pathogens
Smart Fog Humidifiers
Our humidifiers maintain a precise humidity level for each product stage, while retaining a clean environment with no wet spots. What makes Smart Fog an ideal solution for company? It is all about our humidifiers’ key features.
- The Smart Fog ES 100 uses supersonic compressed air to create 4.2 micro droplets of water as a true “dry fog.” The droplets evaporate into the air before they reach the ground.
- Smart Fog Humidifiers are completely non-wetting, no wet spots mean a consistently balanced environment which is vital.
- Smart Fog can maintain non-fluctuating humidity 24/7. Maintaining precise humidity enhances the quality of the product and eliminates the possibility of condensation, which can cause mold and other issues.
- Our technology uses clean fog, so you can expect no bacteria, no viruses, no cysts, or other pathogens.
- ES 100 installs directly over a work area, in an air treatment unit in front of the air conditioner coils or at the outlet of the a/c ducts.
- Automatic PLC and RH meters control the Smart Fog ES 100. Custom solutions are available for all industrial and commercial systems.
- Smart Fog designed their humidifiers with fully automated controls and data logging capabilities. This is essential for maintaining different humidity levels throughout every stage of the growing process. With Smart Fog, you can change and verify the humidity 24/7 with easy-to-use timeframe programs.
Needs and Solutions
High humidity also suppresses dust and fibers in the air of the work area. The Smart Fog ES 100 installs to add humidity to conditioning rooms before processing, in specific plant sections, directly over the work area or in the building’s air conditioning ducts.
Textile Manufacturing Benefits
Thread and fibers remain flexible and easily worked, for higher efficiency. Humidity reduces static electricity in the air to prevent clinging materials. Dust and fiber in the air are reduced as water droplets increase their weight and bring them to the floor. Low maintenance because of the Smart Fog ES 100 System’s large 3/32″ (1.5mm) orifice. It will not clog like pinhole nozzles.
Humidity levels
Depending on the type of textile and the process used, natural fibers are soak up more moisture than synthetic material. However, synthetic textiles suffer more with static charge build up.
Cotton and Linen
Humidity levels for these types of textiles should be around 70-80% rH. This will keep them flexible and far less brittle which improves the overall production quality.
Wool
Like cotton and linen, it is susceptible to drying out. This textile should be keep at around 65% rH as it is less reactive then the others.
Silk
Natural silk should remain at 65-70% while as synthetic silk should be spun at 85% rH.
Synthetic Textiles
These should be keep at around 45% rH due to dangers of static build up.
