HVAC Humidification System Efficient HVAC Systems

A client came to Smart Fog® with a large-scale project for an in-duct humidification system for their building’s HVAC system. The existing humidification system was experiencing frequent failures, affecting the entire HVAC system and creating havoc with building temperature and humidity. This situation was potentially harmful to personnel and equipment. Smart Fog® set about correcting the matter by installing a humidification system consisting of 7 units, each unit designed to maintain an overall temperature of 60° Fahrenheit and a relative humidity of 60%. In addition, we included a mesh screen water filter with each unit to offset the high silica levels that were plaguing the HVAC.

Upon full implementation, the improvements were quite remarkable. Unit capacities ranged from 76 lbs./hr. to 700 lbs./hr., exceeding project requirements by maintaining temperatures as low as 50° Fahrenheit. In addition to the ES100EX humidification units, we supplied all required secondary equipment: sensors, pipes and fittings, and a CPLC unit. The modular design of this system enabled our client to account for future facility modifications by reconfiguring the units and setup.
