How an In-Duct Humidifier Works

At Smart Fog, we make commercial humidification products for a wide range of industries. From schools to wine cellars, we cover it all! The TS100 series features the in duct humidifier models. The installation of these models inside ducts is simple and requires little future maintenance. Here is how the Smart Fog in duct humidifiers work.

Droplet Size

The droplet size of a Smart Fog humidifier is very small. In fact, it is the smallest in the industry. The 4.2-micron droplets take over 12,000 seconds to fall 10 feet. This allows Smart Fog systems to achieve a 100% evaporation rate. Thus, the droplet is completely evaporated before it ever reaches any surface.

De-Correlation Technology

These in duct humidifiers are beneficial as a Smart Fog system that uses 50-70% less energy than traditional systems. The systems do this through a natural de-correlation process. Smart Fog reverses cohesion and maximizes adhesion. This makes the whole process very efficient.

Humidity Control

One of the best parts about Smart Fog in duct systems is that the humidity control is completely automated. This takes a human setting the humidity levels out of the equation. The systems contain algorithms to figure out the humidity necessary for the environment.

Eliminates Mold, Bacteria, and Viruses

Another extremely important feature of Smart Fog humidifiers is that they eliminate mold, bacteria, and viruses from the environment. This is especially helpful if the humidifier is inside a school or hospital.  Through the de-correlation technology, adhesion is maximized and dust, bacteria, and viruses are attracted to the droplets. The Smart Fog technology creates an overall healthier environment with less dust, sicknesses, and mold.

Maintenance

Another great part about the in duct humidifiers is that they basically require no maintenance. The system oxidizes itself, thus cleaning the nozzles. The humidifier is made of high-grade plastic and stainless steel so it does not corrode or get any build-up. All you have to do is remember to change the filter every 2 years.

Smart Fog utilizes advanced technology for their in duct humidifiers to make them as efficient and effective as possible. Everything is automated in the systems, from the droplet size to the humidity controls.  Through de-correlation technology, mold, viruses, bacteria, and dust are eliminated. The best part? The system is maintenance-free! After installation, don’t worry about the system until after 2 years when it is time to change the filter. An in duct humidifier is perfect for an environment like a school or a data center. If you are in need of a commercial in duct humidifier, contact Smart Fog today.
