Working with a client who required a gas turbine cooling apparatus, Smart Fog® developed this evaporative cooling system using our MS100 equipment, in addition to applying sensors, filtration equipment, inputs, outputs, and controls. The system was required to handle 324,000 kg/hr. for cooling, maintaining a temperature between 72° and 75° F to ensure that all turbine components achieved proper heat reduction. The requirements for relative humidity ranged from 20% to 80%, and water filtration was required to compensate for high levels of silica in the water.

The S1 Sensor included in this product features extensive temperature and humidity capacities, including a maximum temperature of 140° F, and a relative humidity range of anywhere from 0% to 100%. Output accuracy can be as close as ± 0.4° F when our optional Thermistor temperature sensor is used in conjunction.
