StorOx Broad Spectrum Bactericide Fungicide
StorOx Broad Spectrum Bactericide/Fungicide
StorOx is a versatile post-harvest tool that extends shelf life and reduces spoilage of stored crops. A chlorine alternative, StorOx leaves no residues. Use StorOx in all packing shed and post harvest applications to kill bacteria, fungi, and their spores, which cause premature decay. StorOx can be used for a wide variety of applications, including:
- Direct injection into dump tanks, hydro coolers and spray waters on process lines
- As a spray treatment for newly harvested crops
- As a fog treatment for stored crops
- For treatment of nonpotable water systems (wash tanks, dip tanks, drench tanks, evaporators, humidification systems, and/or storage tanks)
Benefits include:
- EPA Registered
- Zero-Hour REI (*Four-Hour in California)
- Reduction of Spoilage Organisms
- Extension of Shelf Life
- Non Residual - Exempt from Pesticide Tolerances
- Reduced-Risk Chemistry
- OMRI listed for organic production
Potato Applications:
StorOx may be used in a three-step program for tubers and storage facilities to manage storage diseases such as Early and Late Blight, Pythium, Soft Rot, and Silver Scurf disease.
Step 1: Bin Piler Application
The bin piler application is the best opportunity to provide an initial reduction of disease pressure before potatoes enter storage. Piler applicators and spray bar nozzle configurations are available through our dealers to enable StorOx applications.
Step 2: In-Storage Humidification Applications
StorOx can be injected through spinner humidifiers or humidicells (cell decks). We can also set up an air-assisted fogging system to create a finer fog. StorOx should be injected anytime the storage humidification system is run.
Step 3: Hot Spot Treatments
For dealing with hot spots, individual air atomized fog nozzles can be set up at individual plenum pipes to deliver a concentrated StorOx fog.
Post Harvest Applications:Treatment of Surfaces
Use StorOx to treat all surfaces, tools, crates, and storage rooms. StorOx can be applied by sprayer, fogging device, or any other means of application.
Line Spray
Use StorOx as a line spray to treat produce surfaces prior to packaging. When diluted, StorOx has a pleasant odor and is easy to work with and be around. No final rinse is required.
Storage Piler
Use StorOx on produce going into storage to provide an immediate knockdown of spoilage organisms. This application is common for potatoes, carrots, onions, or any crop requiring medium- to long-term storage.
Fogging and Humidification
Use a fogger or humidifier to disperse StorOx into food or crop storage facilities. This application is common for potatoes, carrots, onions, or any crop requiring medium- to long-term storage.
